1941 Nash Ambassador - $12,500 - Biddeford, ME -

This is a wonderful 1941 Nash Ambassador 660 sedan.  The engine was rebuilt in 2011 and the car runs strong overall.  The light blue and dark blue paint is very good overall--with no major issues or crazing or orange peel.  There are a couple of spots where there is a scuff and a paint nick but overall this is a very nice paint job.  Chrome and trim are all original and are in great shape, except the bumper guards have some chrome loss on the sides. It's not that visibile but could benefit from rechroming.  The bumpers though are fine.

The interior was tastefully and correctly restored.  The upholestery is in very condition with no rips, stains, or tears.  The carpet on the floor is very good.  Door panels are also excellent, as is headliner.  The original dash has wonderful patina, with no real issues.  The odometer does not appear to be working.  A horn button was added under the dash.  Emergency brake lever is strong. Brakes have great pressure.  Car shifts nicely with 3-speed manual transmission on the column.

People love the two-tone blue combination--ti's really striking.

1956 Nash Ambassador - $35,500 - Plainview, NY -

1956 Nash Ambassador Custom with
Factory 352ci Packard engine and just 40936 actual miles.

WHAT is That?   This is what 99 out of 100 people say when they see this car for the first time.
So what is it?  It is a top of the line Nash Ambassador Custom in showroom condition.  Believe it or not, this Golden Anniversary Pininfarina Nash, styled by PininFarina, received several prestigious design awards.
So.. what it is NOT?  It was not an inexpensive car of the 50s.  In the mid 50s, this car was in the price class of a high end Mercury or Pontiac; more expensive than a 56 Tbird, hundreds more than a Corvette and nearly $1000 more than a Chevy BelAir.  Production was limited to just 1885 V8 Ambassador Customs.  This car came with the Packard Jetfire 352ci engine.

The exterior shines beautifully and has never had any dents, dings or accidents in its 58 year history.  The body is perfectly straight.  It retains its original tritone color combo of Solitaire Blue, Pacific Blue & Frost White. Chrome and trim are show quality.  Factory chrome wheels and Continental kit are also in flawless condition.

The interior is 100% original and nothing less than a work of art.  Every single inch is absolutely flawless.  Look at the detail and perfection of the silver Mylar finish surrounding the dash. It is flawless and runs from one side of the dash to the other.  The gauges are perfect and everything works.  The Duo-coustic dual speaker radio plays AM crisp & clear.  The electronic self-regulating clock still works.  You can hear the tick if you listen.  Seats recline individually and fold down into twin travel beds, a Nash-Rambler exclusive.  The condition of the two tone seats are nothing less than perfect. Other features include Weather-Eye heating & ventilation system, 2 speed wipers with optional washer, tinted plastic see-thru sun visors, handi-pak net storage above sun visors, illumination package including lighted glove box.

The 352ci 220hp Packard Jetfire engine starts instantly and kicks down as it should when you hit the gas. Idle is perfect and the engine & exhaust are silent.  Driving is an experience in itself. She drives down the road easily and smooth as silk. Power steering is tight and the power brakes stop evenly.  Press the gas and response is immediate.  Like the rest of this car, driving is incredible and as good as it gets.

This Nash is a show quality car and as good as it gets.  It is undoubtedly the nicest in the country by far.

Why is this a #1- car instead of a #1 car?  A #1 car is absolutely perfect in every respect, everywhere.  #1 cars are rarely driven if driven at all.  They are 100% perfect in every way.  This car, while close to perfect, has some signs of usage.  it should, it has not been tucked away.  it has been used sparingly and meticulously maintained since new 57 years ago.  The engine, while absolutely spotless, is not detailed to the level of #1 quality.  The undercarriage is extremely clean but some areas show usage.  This car has been driven which we think is a good thing!   FOR MORE DETAILS AND PHOTOS, GO TO OUR WEBSITE; www.fioremotors.com

1951 Nash Ambassador - $9,995 - Laguna Beach, CA -

Straight, southern CA rust free car that runs and drives well. Solid floors, new tires, good brakes, strong engine, good clutch, and sound transmission. This is a time warp car with CA registrations from 1954 through 1968, owners brochure and horse racing programs and betting forms from 1958. Needs new interior, paint and re-chroming. I just drove the car from northern Orange County down Laguna Canyon Road and it drove 50 mph, could use a wheel balance, stops well and shifts and drives perfectly. It obviously needs a lot to be pretty but not much to be a very cool driver.

The Ambassador also sits on a new set of chrome 17" and 18" Vision wheels. Keeping everything cool is a large aluminum radiator. I was born in 1959 along with this Classic and it has fared much better than me. Introducing a 1959 AMC Rambler Ambassador Super. Powered buy a "sleeper" 327ci with a BorgWarner automatic push-button transmission, THE MILES ARE ACTUAL AT  39,181.
This particular car took over as a speed racer during a time that cars that looked this nice were not supposed to go as fast as this one does. Some of the highlights besides it's lines and good looks are Power Brakes,, newer steering rack and new tires. It does have a couple of minor blemishes in the body (hell...me too) but nothing that can't be addressed. Please come in and see this old-timer and appreciate it's still being around and rarity.
